Flint
Castle Acre has a rich history when it comes to flint, as can be seen in the iconic castle ruins, and around the local area. Knapping flint, here at Castle Acre quarry, has started production after a five year break, supplying grade A flint products.
Our quarry is home to the well known Norfolk Blue flint, having the blue skin and dark face when knapped. It gives a stunning look to any project either in its natural whole form or knapped. Usually supplied with a size range of 3 to 6 inches, but bespoke sizes, within reason, can be achieved.
We also supply sand and gravel flint, again, both whole and knapped. This type of flint resembles field flint, having a cream/brown skin, with a light grey face when knapped. Supplied in the 3 to 6 inch range, but again, bespoke sizes can be achieved within reason.
Other types of flint that we offer include Scottish Granite Cobbles, Gallets, Quoins, Coursing flint and Squares.
We strive to provide a quality product and service, helping builders and the general public to source products in the flint world where possible.
